About the dustbunny chronicles…

Hockey pucks and dustbunnies litter the corners of my life – mostly under my kitchen table but sometimes on or at my kitchen table!

I am a mother of three living in the Ottawa area. I write about all things motherhood, parenting, marriage and family life, but the zamboni fumes-inhaling years when all three of my kids played hockey has inspired me to write about the true and often hilarious life of a hockey mom. My humour momoir, titled Offside by a Mile, chronicles both the frantic and the hilarious moments that will resonate with hockey moms everywhere, and will be published soon.  Please sign up to get regular updates from my blog and follow me on Twitter @mydustbunnies.

Thank you for for stopping by, and please feel free to comment (even about hockey)!

  2. So glad I just discovered your blog. What a treat! I’m an Ottawa hockey mom too, but with only one (olderish) kid at the rink. I can’t imagine three…; ) (Holy Zamboni, Batman!)
I’m looking forward to reading more.

What a great blog! I am a fellow Canadian by birth, former Torontonian and now Oregonian. I grew up inhaling Zamboni fumes, but as a figure skater. My kids are grown and I’m a very young and extremely cool (just ask me) grandma now but my claim to fame is still that I skated in Maple Leaf Gardens with Dick Button. I look forward to reading more of your posts.

    • Thanks for stopping by my fellow Canuck! I lived in TO for 12 years before moving here to Ottawa – the first of those 12 right across from MLG (which I guess you may have heard is now Ryerson University’s athletic complex!). I enjoyed your post on vacation home exchanges!
